The material the coil is made from can also impact the strength of the magnetic field, with a conductor like copper allowing more current to flow and create a stronger field than an insulator like plastic.

The size of the coil also affects the strength of the magnetic field, with a larger coil producing a stronger field. The strength of a magnetic field can be affected by the number of turns in a coil – more turns will create a stronger field.
